Sex and the City Hotspots
Carrie Bradshaw's Stomping Ground
Admit it -- you love to watch "Sex and the City" and always wondered about the *amazing* places that Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda hang out, shop, eat and live in New York City, right? Wouldn't it be great if you could come to New York City and see all the places -- from Jimmy Choo's (where Carrie buys her shoes) to Magnolia Bakery (home of delicious cupcakes)? Visit the Sex and the City girl's stomping ground, visit their restaurants where they wine and dine, the bars they frequent, the shops at the center of Carrie Bradshaw's shoe fetish and much more! If you're interested in taking the tour on your next visit, it's $40 per person (plus a $2 ticket fee) for the 3-hour tour and it even includes a cupcake at Magnolia. All tours are led by tour guides, and take place on luxury coach buses. Buses are air-conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter. Most buses are equipped with bathrooms.

St. Paul's Chapel at Ground Zero
Take A Walk Into NYC History
If you like history, then no trip to NYC is complete without a visit to St. Paul's Chapel. Located on Broadway between Fulton and Vesey Streets in Lower Manhattan, St. Paul's was built on land granted by Queen Anne of Great Britain. It was built in 1766 and is Manhattan's oldest Church & public building in continuous use. The chapel survived the Great New York City Fire of 1776 when a quarter of New York City burned following the British capture of the city. George Washington worshipped here on Inauguration Day, April 30, 1789. Inside you can view the actual booth George prayed in. Yet again, the Church was miraculously saved from being destroyed by a large, flying, steel beam from the World Trade Center on 9/11, that instead hit an age old tree behind the Church, summarily pulling it out by it's roots, which are on display in the graveyard. In 2001-2, St. Paul's was closed to the public and served as the relief center for Ground Zero "Recovery" workers, who cherished it as a safe haven for food, warm clothing, supplies and sleep. There are exhibits on display, there is no admission fee and the non-profit Church has a nice gift area with books and remembrance items pertaining to 9/11. Simply walking into the Church will quickly fill you with emotions stemming from the World Trade Center attacks and former employees have reported over the years several spiritual sightings inside the Church. Call the Church for their Sunday prayer service schedule.

Wichcraft : Weekday Lunch
A Sandwich Service Unlike No Other
So, it's a weekday during your holiday in NYC and you want to eat lunch off the beaten path. You want a little treasure that isn't in the guidebook? 'Wichcraft is where you will find real New Yorkers treating themselves to a gourmet sandwich. Tom Colicchio, chef and owner of the Craft family of restaurants and head judge of Bravo’s Top Chef, founded ’wichcraft with partners Sisha Ortuzar and Jeffrey Zurofsky in 2003. The three had a long history of working together in fine dining restaurants such as Manhattan’s top-rated Gramercy Tavern and Craft, but this collaboration was decidedly more casual. They created ’wichcraft, a sandwich service like no other. Eat in or take it to go. We recommend the Chicken Breast & Grilled Mushrooms on Country Bread, the Roasted Turkey, Avocado & Bacon on Ciabatta Roll & the Grilled Gruyere Cheese & Carmelized Onions on Rye Bread. However, there is no bad sandwich on the menu. If you want to fly back home in style, get a few sandwiches to go and take them on the plane! (Yes, sandwiches ARE allowed thru airport security). There are a few locations in Manhattan, including midtown at 46th street & 5th Avenue.
